Instructions

Method

  1. Finely chop shallot, garlic, and dried shrimps with Turbo Chopper.

  2. Add chopped shallot, garlic, dried shrimps, taro, chinese sausage, and cooking oil in UltraPro 3.5L. Give it a mix. Microwave on high for 8 mins, stirring once during interim.

  3. Add both rice, water, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce and pepper. Mix well. Microwave on high for 8 mins, stirring once during interim.

  4. Remove from Microwave, stir. Set Microwave to Medium heat. Cook for another 14mins, stirring once during interim.

  5. Sprinkle some chopped spring onions (you may also add shallot oil and fried shallot), give rice a toss and its ready to serve.

  6. Adding shallot oil and fried shallot once rice is cooked is highly recommended. It can give extra flavor and fragrance to the rice.

  • 400 g Taro, diced
  • 3 pc Chinese Sausage, sliced or diced
  • 50 g Dried Shrimps, soaked
  • 1 sprig Spring Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 5 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 5 shallots
  • 5 Garlic
