Instructions

Method

  1. Wash and soak glutinous rice for 30mins. Drain the water after 30mins.

  2. Chop Dried Shrimps, yellow onions and shallots in Turbo Chopper.

  3. Slice soaked chinese mushroom and chinese sausages.

  4. Add dried shrimps, yellow onions, shallots, chinese sausage slices and cooking oil into UltraPro 3.5L. Give it a mix and cook into the microwave for 3mins.

  5. Add in glutinous rice, 200ml water, chinese mushroom and all other condiments. Give it a stir and cook into the microwave for 5mins under high heat.

  6. Stir the glutinous rice briefly , covered and continue to microwave it for another 15mins under medium heat.

  7. Let glutinous rice rest for 10mins (or more). Garnish with spring onions and serve warm.

  8. Note : The water level for glutinous rice should be bare minimum and just cover the rice. Do adjust cooking time, flavoring and water level accordingly if rice portion is increased.

  9. This recipe is not advisable to do stack cooking. If stack cooking is performed with this recipe, cooking time will need to increase.

  • 35 g Dried Shrimps, soaked
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion
  • 5 Shallots
  • 8 Chinese Mushroom, soaked
  • 2 Chinese Sausage, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Shao Xing Wine
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper (or more)
  • 5 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • Spring Onions & Red Chillies for garnishing
