Beat the heat with a fruity treat

Craving for a frozen treat on a hot, sunny day? Well, we’ve got a healthy fruit-tastic fix to keep you refreshed all day – fruit sorbets and popsicles! Rich in fiber and antioxidants because of the fruity content, these fruity recipes are guilt-free and are a great alternative to ice cream. Fruity Sorbet Ingredients
  • Chopped fruit * (Choose 1 option for fruit quantity)
  • 5 cup of raspberries/blueberries/ strawberries
  • 2 cups chopped pineapple
  • 4 cups seedless watermelon
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  Instructions
  1. Stir sugar and water over high heat until mixture boils and sugar has dissolved. Let it simmer for 5 minutes and leave it to cool.
  2. Puree your chopped fruit and mix it in a bowl with the sugar syrup.
  3. Cover your bowl with plastic wrap and freeze for 7-8 hours.
  4. Mash the frozen mixture and beat with a whisk for two minutes. Freeze for 3 more hours and enjoy!
  Extra Tips
  • Substitute chopped fruit with 3 cups of any fruit juice.
  • Freeze your chopped fruit before pureeing for a smoother sorbet.
